ASSISTANT HEADTEACHER

Our beautiful school and community are seeking to employ a new Assistant Headteacher to work with us on our journey of continual improvement.

Our nurturing culture of love, care, and respect at St Osmund’s has cultivated a highly successful school environment.  Our children are enthusiastic, eager to learn, and exhibit impeccable behaviour.  Furthermore, we are fortunate to have a supportive parent community who think highly of – and care deeply for – the values of our school.

This is an exciting proposition for the right candidate who has the ambition, energy and skills to build on the numerous strengths at St Osmund’s, and alongside the Headteacher, keep our happy, diverse and forward-thinking school at the forefront of education.  This post would be a great opportunity for someone eager to move their leadership to the next level in an outward facing, challenging and supportive environment, with a governing body and staff at all levels who are eager to support you.

The successful candidate will have a class responsibility as well as the support and release time to enable them to fulfil their responsibilities as Assistant Headteacher.  We can be flexible on key stages, so we invite applicants to state their strengths and preferences for key stage.

Do you want to come and work with us?

 CLASS TEACHER - KS1 OR KS2

Are you an energetic, positive and inspiring teacher?  Well, a unique opportunity has arisen to teach at our happy, diverse and forward-thinking school.

Whether you are just setting out on your career, or if you are experienced and looking to develop more, then it could be just the job for you!

We are a highly successful school, recently inspected by Ofsted, with children who are excited, eager to learn and behave wonderfully.

We welcome applications from teachers who believe that every child matters and are determined to provide the best for the children in their care.  So whatever point you are at in your career, at St Osmund’s we can offer you the dynamic, forward-thinking and supportive environment to continue to grow your skills.

We have worked hard to remove unnecessary tasks from your responsibilities, and we have ensured that only the most meaningful assessment takes place.  At St Osmund’s, we don’t spend time on written feedback in books after school, we believe that in-lesson feedback is what supports children the most and we have manageable and meaningful systems to ensure this works.  We ensure that our meeting time is focused on teaching and learning, and we give you time to reflect and develop.
